THE LAW HAS LIMITS. THEY DON’T.
After being released from prison, former Boston detective Spenser (Mark Wahlberg) and his new roommate (Winston Duke) find themselves caught up in a case involving a casino project and dirty cops. The first big-screen adaptation of Robert B. Parkerās tough crimefighter has little in common with the 1985-1988 TV series, and looks pretty much like what we expect from another Berg-Wahlberg collaboration. We get laughs, plenty of bang for our buck and lots of working-class Boston flavor, even if the story is for the birds.
