Legally Blonde

legallyblondeThis was the movie that displayed Reese Witherspoon as a bona fide movie star more than able to turn a project into a cash cow. She is outstanding as the perky Beverly Hills blonde in pink who follows her ambitious ex-boyfriend to Harvard to study law, just to prove a point. A potentially boring formula has been enriched with a contagious optimism and joy, as well as a few amusing clashes between Witherspoon’s cute character and the strictness of academia. A subplot detailing a court case that involves the law students is silly, but itā€™s hard to dislike such an affable movie.
