Marla Grayson (Rosamund Pike) runs a business where sheās legally granted guardianship over elders, giving her the opportunity to rob them of everything they own; her latest target though presents a challenge. A thriller-comedy pitting a scammer against a gangster where the outcome remains uncertain; their showdowns are brutal but clumsy and consistently amusing. The film struggles a bit with changes in tone and Pikeās seemingly psychopathic character; Marla is a despicable human being. Still, Pikeās sharp performance maintains our curiosity and the supporting cast is great.
