Stepsisters Mia and Sasha (Sophie Nélisse, Corinne Foxx) join a couple of friends on a trip to a secret lagoon; as they go cave diving, they soon become aware of unwelcome visitors… A sequel that introduces new characters (but stays put in Mexico) as blind great whites go after four teenagers in a submerged Mayan city. Unfortunately, the script isn’t half as clever as in the original and there’s little tension, even if the film tries to create a claustrophobic atmosphere. Too dumb and dull.
