17-year-old Manhattan student Lisa Cohen (Anna Paquin) can’t get over the death of a woman who’s run over by a bus; she feels guilty because of a quick interaction between her and the bus driver… Kenneth Lonergan’s second film as director was shot in 2005, but delayed for years because of several lawsuits. The editing period became a mess, and this version pleased no one; some of the scenes are abrupt and randomly put together. Never uninteresting, the film has strong performances… but much of it feels aimless.
