GETTING EVEN IS A FULL-TIME JOB.Â
When Judy (Jane Fonda) is hired by a huge corporation, she is quickly warned by a co-worker (Lily Tomlin) to stay away from a womanizing executive (Dabney Coleman), who’s having an affair with his secretary (Dolly Parton). A huge hit in its day, the ambition was to bring up women’s rights in the workplace – but in the shape of a comedy. Funny and charming, with three very well cast stars, as well as Coleman who’s an ideal swine. The movie even has an animated, Disney-inspired fantasy sequence, but it becomes clear after a while just how thin the story is. Still, Parton’s title tune is an amazing way to start a movie.
