Inequality for All

inequalityforallOver the years, President Clinton’s former Secretary of Labor, Robert Reich, has been a welcome, compelling presence both on various talk shows and in universities. His lectures are worth attending because of his vast knowledge of economics, and his (often self-deprecating) sense of humor. He brings those qualities to this documentary, which much like An Inconvenient Truth (2006) offers a disturbing lecture on everything that’s wrong in an important field (as well as a battle cry for change) and an entertaining portrait of an interesting man. Falls a bit in the shadow of the great Inside Job (2010), as it also deals with rising inequalities in the wake of the financial crisis, but the complex issues are well illustrated and explained by the filmmakers.

2013-U.S. 89 min. Color. Directed byĀ Jacob Kornbluth. Featuring: Robert Reich.
