SHE’S HAVING THE TIME OF HIS LIFE.

In order to save his job, Sandy Patterson (Jason Bateman) needs to find the woman (Melissa McCarthy) who’s stolen his identity and keeps emptying his bank accounts. A high-concept comedy that should only work if we believe in the two central characters; I’m not sure that we do, but Bateman and McCarthy work hard to generate laughs and sympathy. The movie, which is Midnight Run lite, looks like it was written for them, but feels heavy-handed and needs more (better) laughs.
