IT’S A THIN LINE BETWEEN LOVE AND FRIENDSHIP.Ā
Darcy (Kate Hudson) is about to marry Dex (Colin Egglesfield), but her best friend Rachel (Ginnifer Goodwin) realizes that she still has feelings for Dex, a former classmate in law school. What can you say about a romantic comedy that is so by-the-numbers it could just as well go straight to video? Well, let’s state a few facts. Hudson is effective in this type of obnoxious roles and Goodwin’s likability could carry lesser films. There’s an idiotic scene where they do an impromptu dance and the story is completely bereft of surprises. It flies by as effortlessly as a tissue in the wind.
