LIFE, DEATH AND SOMETHING IN BETWEEN.
High school student Nick Powell (Justin Chatwin) is beaten to near death by a bully (Margarita Levieva) and her cronies who dump his body in a well; he returns to school as an invisible spirit. This remake of a Swedish thriller, Den osynlige (2002), follows the original closely but has nothing new to offer. The story, where a young woman on the wrong path in life gets a chance at redemption, is still interesting, but nothing stands out (not even the always reliable Marcia Gay Harden), and the film is in dire need of a sense of humor.
