The Mummy: Tomb of the Dragon Emperor

mummytombRick and Evelyn Oā€™Connell (Brendan Fraser, Maria Bello) are coaxed out of retirement when the British government needs their help protecting a precious diamond as it is transported to China; unfortunately, the gem has the power to bring dead armies back to life.Ā Rob Cohen replaced Stephen Sommers as director, which looked like a good thing on paper. But this third chapter still came outĀ a frantically paced, charmless mess with plastic-looking CGIĀ and uninteresting characters. Fraser is fine, but Jet Liā€™s mummy is a letdown.

2008-U.S.-Germany-Canada. 112 min. Color. Widescreen.Ā Directed byĀ Rob Cohen.Ā Cast:Ā Brendan Fraser (Rick Oā€™Connell), Jet Li (Emperor Han), Maria Bello (Evelyn Oā€™Connell), John Hannah, Michelle Yeoh, Luke Ford.
