TONIGHT, THE DEAD SHALL RISE AGAIN!
Several instances of cannibalism in New York City morgues lead Lori Ridgeway (Alexandra Delli Colli) and Dr. Peter Chandler (Ian McCulloch) on a journey to the Maluku Islands where the cannibals came from. This video nasty was inspired by the success of Lucio Fulci’s Zombie the same year and even borrows most of the plot. It has the same kind of outrageously gory effects, only poorer made, features awful acting and is completely inept at times; a clumsily staged suicide at a hospital is worthy of Edward D. Wood, Jr.
