The Village

Night Shyamalan’s first major misstep is supposedly an allegory about America after 9/11, but the whole set-up suffers from a lack of logic and leads to a twist that is unsatisfactory at best. The cast is either silly or dull, except Bryce Dallas Howard in her breakthrough as a blind girl who must challenge her fears.
