HE’S ABOUT TO GET MEDIEVAL ON YOU.

Jamal Walker (Martin Lawrence), who works at a medieval theme park, falls into the moat and is transported to the 14th century where he becomes instrumental in the struggle to overthrow an evil king. Lawrence’s contemporary style collides with that of medieval Europe – that’s the entire premise of this preposterous comedy. Everything depends on the star and he delivers (sort of). He’s pretty likable and has a few funny lines, but everything is so haphazardly handled… and Tom Wilkinson is definitely underused.
