MAY THE SCHWARTZ BE WITH YOU.
Mercenary Lone Starr (Bill Pullman) tries to stop an evil empire from stealing the air supply from a lush planet. This spoof of space movies, the Star WarsĀ franchise in particular,Ā really felt like it came a decade too late. Best part of it is the enthusiasm on display. Rick Moranis is way over the top, but the nerdy Darth Vader double (with a huge helmet) is undoubtedly his funniest part ever. Director Mel Brooks himself is of course the right man to play a very Jewish Yoda. Some of the jokes will inevitably make you laugh, but the silliness is overbearing.
