After making an unconventional screen adaptation of āHamletā in 2000, the director reunited with Ethan Hawke; clearly, this biography of famous engineer Nikola Tesla would not follow an expected formula. The story illustrates Teslaās creativity and lets one of the women in his life, Anne Morgan, serve as a narrator, bridging the past with our times. Theatrical in some ways; thereās even a scene where Tesla sings Tears For Fears. Unpredictable, and Hawke is fine, but weāre frequently distracted from anything substantial.
