TRUTH MATTERS.
In 2009, Daniel Jones (Adam Driver) leads an investigation into CIA interrogation methods after the September 11th, 2001 terror attacks. How do you make this stuff riveting in a way that fits a movie? That was the challenge for writer-director Scott Z. Burns who makes this drama worth a look on account of a few ingredients: the acting is fine, and the film highlights in detail how planned the torture program was, with psychology being used as a weapon. Interesting, in spite of its talky nature, as Feinsteinās (Annette Bening) team faces resistance from all directions.
