PEOPLE CHANGE. GREEKS DON’T.
The Portokalos family are thrown into turmoil when the grandparents (Michael Constantine, Lainie Kazan) learn that theyāre actually not married, in spite of their 50 years together. The sequel took 14 years, but thatās actually a good thing; revisiting this boisterous Greek family and seeing where they are now is more interesting this way. Having Nia Vardalos and John Corbett deal with their now teenage daughterās issues brings a freshness to the formula. Not enough of it though; the cast keeps mugging, but there are no good jokes.
