A HELL OF A DAY. A HELL OF A PAIR.

When emergency room nurse Paul’s (Anthony Mackie) pregnant wife is kidnapped, he has to get a murder suspect (Frank Grillo) out from the hospital, even though cops are watching him. An inevitable remake of the fast-moving 2010 French action-thriller that stays fairly close to the original, but fails to match its intensity. This time, the twists feel expected. The cast is good enough though (you’ve always got Marcia Gay Harden), there’s a sense of humor on display and quirky 1980s choices on the soundtrack.
