THREE LEGENDS. A COMEDY FOR THE AGES.
Retired FBI agent Leo McKay (Tommy Lee Jones) arrives at a Palm Springs resort and starts competing with its manager (Morgan Freeman) at poker and womanizing. The first feature film that Ron Shelton made in 15 years looks like a winner on paper, especially with older audiences. When gangsters threaten to strike, Jones and Freeman join forces; Rene Russo is fetching as a representative of the resort’s owner. The story takes place at Christmas time, but there are few gifts for us; this is far too scatterbrained.
