Game Night

When Max and Annie (Jason Bateman, Rachel McAdams) go to Max’s brotherā€™s (Kyle Chandler) house for game night, they have no idea that things are about to become unsettlingly realā€¦ The directors behind Vacation (2015) deliver a comedy that may remind audiences of Date Night (2010), where another highly undramatic social event turns into an evening of possibly life-threatening thrills. Bateman and McAdams are brilliant as a loving but fiercely competitive couple. The adventure is entertaining; fun dialogue and supporting players, including Jesse Plemons as a stone-faced cop. A few nifty visuals reinforce the feeling of a game.Ā
