Lost in Paris

Canadian Fiona (Fiona Gordon) goes to Paris to visit her aunt Martha (Emmanuelle Riva), but when she gets there Martha is nowhere to be found; however, the homeless Dom (Dominique Abel) becomes her companion. Fans of the comic duo will be pleased to know that this is another colorful comedy in the same vein, relying heavily on cartoonish slapstick inspired by giants like Tati. Their sense of humor is sweet and friendly, the characters amusing and harmless. Donā€™t expect belly laughs, but a few scenes are inventively staged and Riva is a treat as the dotty aunt.

2017-France-Belgium. 83 min. Color. Written and directed byĀ Abel & Gordon. Cast: Fiona Gordon (Fiona), Dominique Abel (Dom), Emmanuelle Riva (Martha), Pierre Richard, FrĆ©dĆ©ric Meert.

Trivia: Original title: Paris pieds nus.
