THERE MAY NEVER BE ANOTHER DAWN.
The Lord of Darkness (Tim Curry) orders goblins to kill two unicorns and steal their horns; he will use them to free himself from his isolation. Ridley Scottās attempt to make a fairy tale in the dark, fantastical style of the Brothers Grimm has the same problem as his Blade Runner (1982) ā amazing to behold, but the story might put you to sleep. Evil is represented by a diabolical figure, played with relish by Curry, good by Mia Sara and Tom Cruiseās sweet (and dull) characters. Noisy and messy, but the magical forest is beautifully evocative.Ā
