EVERYONE COMES HERE LOOKING FOR A WAY OUT.
When her twin sister goes missing in Aokigahara Forest near Mount Fuji in Japan, known for being a place where many people commit suicide, Sara Price (Natalie Dormer) follows her trace. It may not be shot in the actual Aokigahara Forest, but choosing this mysterious location (riddled with demons, according to legend) for a horror movie is still an intriguing idea. Unfortunately, what weāre saddled with is a perfectly bland and generic experience, with shocks that are telegraphed way ahead. OK story and performances, but thatās about it.
2016-U.S. 93 min. Color. Directed byĀ Jason Zada. Cast: Natalie Dormer (Sara Price/Jess Price), Taylor Kinney (Aiden), Eoin Macken (Rob), Yukiyoshi Ozawa, Stephanie Vogt, Rina Takasaki.
