NO ONE COMES UP HERE WITHOUT A DAMN GOOD REASON.
After the Civil War, two bounty hunters (Samuel L. Jackson, Kurt Russell) and a prisoner (Jennifer Jason Leigh) arrive at a stagecoach lodge during a blizzard in Wyoming where they are trapped with four strangers. The first movie to be shot in Ultra Panavision 70 since the epics of the 1960s was done in the same style as those old āroadshow picturesā, complete with an intermission. A beauty to behold, with vast, wintry landscapes and all the details of a claustrophobic lodge, as well as an ominous score. The story plays like a whodunit, with Leigh a standout in the cast, but itās thin and awfully familiar to Tarantino fans.
