Courtney (Shannon Sossamon) and her twin sons are on the run from an abusive man and move into a rural house where a demon begins to wield his influence over the boys. A completely uninteresting sequel that uses the same themes and the same demon, Bughuul, as Scott Derrickson’s original film. Offers nothing new and no tension; when the abusive man finds the family, he turns out to be such a caricature it’s hard to take him seriously. James Ransone has been promoted to the lead role, but was more amusing as a supporting character.
