blondieThree sisters (Carolina Gynning, Helena af Sandeberg, Alexandra Dahlström), who all lead troubled lives, gather in the countryside at the home of their mother (Marie Göranzon) who’s turning 70. Much like the director’s previous films (Falkenberg Farewell, The Ape), this one is more focused on building a moody atmosphere than telling a narratively complex story. Divided into three acts, the film is partly fascinating thanks to its ominous cinematography, odd use of music and the cast who are convincing as a family. Not a whole lot going on here, but individual scenes and moments are either amusing or disturbing.
