Kick-Ass 2

kickass2When Kick-Ass (Aaron Taylor-Johnson) joins a team of other friendly, masked crime-fighters, he wants Hit Girl (Chlo√ę Grace Moretz) to be a part of it; meanwhile, a former enemy creates a new alias for himself. The sequel hooks up with our heroes a few years later and gives a lot more room for Hit Girl. Moretz is indeed one of the film’s saving graces, which is good because the freshness of the original is gone. Teenage drama combined with a lot of heartless slaughtering doesn’t make up for it, even if the film is fun in fits and starts.
