NEW YORK ā IT’S A NICE PLACE TO VISIT, BUT YOU WOULDN’T WANT TO DIE THERE!
New York detective Fred Williams (Jack Hedley) is hunting a serial killer who stabs and mutilates his female victims while quacking like Donald Duck. One of director Lucio Fulci’s most famous video nasties is a misogynist thriller with horrible performances and a less than engaging story. The killer’s frenzied quacking as he hacks up his victims makes him undeniably memorable, but also irredeemably laughable. Still, some of the gruesome make-up effects in the murder scenes are worth a look.
