WHEN ALIENS ATTACK, MONSTERS FIGHT BACK.
On her wedding day, Susan Murphy (Reese Witherspoon) is subjected to radiation from a meteorite and grows into a giant; she’s locked up with a bunch of monsters, but they’re all sprung when aliens attack Earth. More than one creature looks like they belong in a 1950s sci-fi flick… but at least a few original ideas from the filmmakers would have been appreciated. Even the style of this 3D adventure is reminiscent of Brad Bird’s work. Jam-packed with action set pieces and jokes that are less than thrilling; Seth Rogen’s infectious laugh is funnier.
