ONE CRIME. 3 DAYS. 38 WITNESSES.
California, 1999; a conflict between a drug dealer and one of his customers (Emile Hirsch, Ben Foster) results in the kidnapping of a 15-year-old kid (Anton Yelchin). This crime drama was based on real events and in a few sequences tries to create a documentary feeling. A half-hearted effort, but the dramatic content of the story is strong enough to pull you in, if you are willing to consider spending two hours with a bunch of dumb, racist, loud-mouthed and violent dirtbags. The young actors do after all play them well, even if Foster’s performance is over the top.
