IT WAS THE DELTAS AGAINST THE RULES… THE RULES LOST!

The year is 1962 and the Delta frat house at Faber College is known as the raunchiest on campus; now the dean (John Vernon) wants it closed. Perhaps the least enjoyable film to be considered an important comedy classic by a lot of people. The first movie based on material from National Lampoon is an occasionally fun and cheeky story about likable troublemakers that inspired many 1980s comedies… but its memorable moments are scarce and the ending is more loud than amusing. John Belushi is good though as a human trash can.

Trivia: Co-produced by Ivan Reitman. Bill Murray, Dan Aykroyd and Chevy Chase were allegedly considered for parts in the film. This was Bacon’s film debut. Followed by a TV series, Delta House (1979).
