THERE GLOWS THE NEIGHBORHOOD.
Steve Finch (Matthew Broderick) is known in his town as the Christmas guy, but he faces stiff competition from his new neighbor, a car salesman (Danny DeVito).Ā The director is a veteran of bad comedies and this one is no exception. It seems that every year we have to put up with Christmas movies that waste their running time with tasteless jokes and boring slapstick only to ask us to take them seriously in the end. The two leads are OK, but little is funny about their escalating rivalry.
