GET READY FOR A KILLER RIDE.
Some time in the future, a prison warden (Joan Allen) tells a convict (Jason Statham) that if he wins a deadly car race on the premises he will gain his freedom.Ā The 1975 action movieĀ Death Race 2000Ā gets the Paul W.S. Anderson treatment ā that means a lot of noise and a grim futuristic setting. Competently made and entertaining up to a point. Unfortunately, you know whatās going to happen at every turn of the story and the talents of Allen and Ian McShane are wasted.
