FBI agent Illeana Scott (Angelina Jolie) arrives in Montreal to help the police track down a serial killer who seems to jump from one identity to the next. It begins with a shocking murder and continues in that style; plenty of surprises, but whatās meant to be the biggest one is easily figured out by experienced viewers. There are other less believable details, but it is undeniably an exciting thriller with an interesting killer. Jolie is fine in the lead and Ethan Hawke gives a nuanced performance as the frightened witness to a murder. The French-Canadian locations are another plus.
