Multiplicity

SOMETIMES TO GET MORE OUT OF YOUR LIFE, YOU HAVE TO MAKEĀ MORE OF YOURSELF.

multiplicityArchitect Doug Kinney (Michael Keaton) finds himself too busy to take care of both his job and family; he secretly arranges to be multiplied, but the clones take over his life. Hereā€™s a fun concept that uses special effects in an amusing and inventive way; itā€™s the same style as the directorā€™s Groundhog Day (1993). Keatonā€™s character naturally becomes even more stressed out from trying to keep his clones in order. The star himself is in good shape, essentially playing a whole bunch of characters because the clones have different personalities. The movie suffers just a little bit from logical gaps in the script and overlength.

1996-U.S. 117 min. Color. Widescreen.Ā Directed byĀ Harold Ramis.Ā Cast:Ā Michael Keaton (Doug Kinney), Andie MacDowell (Laura Kinney), Harris Yulin (Dr. Leeds), Richard Masur, Eugene Levy, Ann Cusack.
