SOME THINGS ARE WORTH WAITING FOR.

Josie Geller (Drew Barrymore), a copy editor at Chicago Sun-Times, gets an undercover assignment that sends her back to high school to learn what today’s teenagers are going through. The script gives Barrymore’s character a chance to do everything right in school the second time round – a clever wish-fulfillment idea, but it’s also too harmless and predictable, not “rufus” enough (see the movie and you’ll know what I’m talking about). Barrymore is credible though, both as a geeky 17-year-old and as a 25-year-old hopeless romantic.
