EVERYONE HAS A LIMIT.

Waitress Slim (Jennifer Lopez) marries dreamboat Mitch Hiller (Billy Campbell), but he turns out to be a psycho; after escaping him, she starts plotting her revenge. Julia Roberts had Sleeping With the Enemy (1991) and Lopez had this one. She’s likable and it’s fun watching Campbell and Noah Wyle, two such nice guys on TV, play utter slimeballs. Sure, we all want to see J.Lo kill that husband of hers in the end, but this simple revenge fantasy has no use for credibility at all, which becomes an issue; the formula is just too protracted.
