THE ONLY WAY OUT IS UP.
A plane goes down somewhere in the Gobi desert and the survivors decide to try and construct a new, simpler plane out of the old one… but they donāt have much water left. In deciding to do a remake of the 1965 classic, the filmmakers probably saw an opportunity to juice up the action scenes. That they have done; the sandstorm is pretty frightening. However, not much else has changed and that makes the film superfluous; the modern touches add nothing and the cast is unmemorable (also, Giovanni Ribisi is miscast).Ā
