THIS FBI AGENT IS GOING UNDERCOVER… AND HE’S CONCEALING MORE THAN ONE WEAPON.

FBI agent Malcolm Turner (Martin Lawrence) is forced to assume the identity of Big Momma, a very rotund lady; his mission is to keep an eye on her granddaughter. This is an unbelievably contrived story that borrows heavily from Stakeout (1987) and Mrs. Doubtfire (1993). The movie spends a lot of time subjecting the new Big Momma to many situations where “she” risks being exposed. A few funny scenes and great enthusiasm from Lawrence (hoping to reach Eddie Murphy heights), but too many ingredients are dumb and predictable.
