DESTINY IS WHAT YOU MAKE OF IT.

Boy meets girl (he (Edward Burns) a cameraman, she (Angelina Jolie) a reporter) – both pretend to hate everything that the other one stands for, even though they really desire each other; girl finds out she’s about to die and boy shows girl that there’s more to this world than nail polish. There’s a prophet predicting Jolie’s eventual demise in the script; he is important to the story, but let’s face it. Things would have been much more challenging had the filmmakers stayed true to the grim prophecy.
