IT’S NOT JUST A GAME ANYMORE.
In 1954, six strangers are invited to a mansion without knowing why or by whom; when a seventh person arrives, it doesnāt take long for the first murder to happenā¦ This big-screen version of the classic board game virtually plays like a remake of Murder by Death (1976) and has gained a certain cult following over the years. It never deserved it though. Itās hard to forgive its laziness; all the running around looks like a cover for the lack of funny jokes. Still, charming up to a point; Tim Curry is a standout as the butler.
1985-U.S. 87 min. Color. Written and directed byĀ Jonathan Lynn. Cast: Eileen Brennan (Mrs. Peacock), Tim Curry (Wadsworth), Madeline Kahn (Mrs. White), Christopher Lloyd, Michael McKean, Martin Mullā¦ Howard Hesseman.
