A global community of readers

‘The AR feels different to other publications. There is a fantastic sense of refreshing curiosity and it features architects who are dead, alive, young, old, and even a couple I’ve never heard of – which I love!’ Shelley McNamara, Grafton Architects

‘The AR is the only real architecture magazine left: an achievement of seriousness, intelligence, information, common sense, dedication and passion’ Sebastiano Brandolini, former editor of Casabella

‘The AR’s editorial project holds more significance than ever at this moment of crisis’ Tomà Berlanda

‘Without question, my favourite magazine is The Architectural Review: it is so good and so thoughtful and so substantial. The writing, photography, and design are so in sync. I love the New Yorker, but the AR is something I really cherish’ J Abbott Miller, Pentagram

‘As I’ve said many times in the past, The Architectural Review was a very strong influence which led me to becoming an architect’ Norman Foster

‘I’m not an architect, but I’ve come to love the AR for its distinct voice and its continually unexpected ways of tackling subjects – the Money issue changed the way I look at economics in a way that the finance magazine I myself work for hasn’t’ Josef Reyes

‘I have been poring over these issues of the AR and they have been incredible company: moments of calm, love and sanity’ Sumayya Vally

‘Some real thinking, rare and at last’ VDMMA Architects
